April Showers?

Hey, Friends!
On Thursday, we had rain and about 40°.  Not so much like spring, but the predictions for the coming days is climbing up to the 70’s.  Let’s hope it stays in that vicinity of spring for a while!

I started on a new piece on 28 ct planning to stitch over one, but with two threads.  How many times do I have to start a project that way before I remember – it won’t work!  I frogged what had been done and began with one strand.  Now it seems so easy…  Maybe that’s the point??  Not far enough along to share, but maybe next time.

I finished stitching May Word Play by With thy Needle and Thread.  I am really enjoying these!

Oh, and here's April hanging on the office door at work.  Not a great pic taken with my phone...

What else?  Finished the piece that was a gift from TheScarlet House at the PALS conference last year.  Thanks, Tanya.  It was a fun stitch!  It’s in a small shadow box that sort of reminded me of drift(barn) wood with shells around.  It’s stitched on 28ct Tea Linen over one.

Hope you all have a great spring weekend with a bit of time for stitching – maybe on the deck or garden?!

Thanks for stopping by, today and always.  I appreciate your thoughts and comments!

May 2013 be filled with Happy Stitching!

I do that too! I always ask myself too, why did you stitch with the two strands with 28ct AGAIN?!

  7. Your Word Play is ever so cute! Love the Bunny on the April one in your office! I wish I had that Beach piece! I think I am going to MB this year. Working on it anyway. Would be nice to see you again! I am so ready for warmer weather! Though the pollen prevents me from going out of doors a lot...Except I think I can drive to the beach and walk out there... NO TREES! Hugs!

  8. May's Word Play is adorable, Charlene. I'm just finishing up April's, but just having trouble enjoying stitching it... Not sure what my problem is because the charts are so darling!

Cute way to remember your beach retreat--love the shells!

The sun is shining here today, but it is still VERY cold (34!!) so I won't be spending much time outside today. Hope you enjoy your weekend :)
