More Musings

Hey, Friends!
Do you think I have stopped stitching all together?  Well that is not the case.  I’ve been stitching on this… Do you know what it is?

I saw April’s finish of Midsummer Night Designs, Memorial Sampler, and have been searching for it all around with no luck.  I’m sure I had seen it before, but with no real attention until now.  If anyone has any suggestions about where to look, please let me know.

From last time… a sweet little sampler magnet that looks quite familiar with its yellow house, flag, and kitty.  It says, This needlework of mine can tell, when I was yours I learned well. … 2004… Bobbi says she purchased some years ago, and she thinks they were Chessie and Me designs.  Also,
the melon I showed a couple of posts ago was called Christmas melon.  I Googled and found that it is named so because they ripen in December  wish I’d asked the grower when I bought it to see if it had been stored since then.  It says the shelf life is a few months, so it’s possible.

The other day at work, we (five of us) were in a training class.  I was called out of the room to answer a question, and when I came back the group was on a break.  The newest and youngest employee in our team was reading the palms of some of the group.  He is Indian, and says ‘I only know the science
others have a spiritual connection and get more of the full meaning.  Of one he said he has plenty of money and doesn’t need to worry.  Of another he was determined to know something that happened to her heart in love at 25.  He took a look at my hand, had me turn it this way and that, and then he announced you are of a separate mind… you always believe that what you know is right.  Everyone in the room burst out laughing. One said, I can’t wait for you to tell your mom she will say, I’ve told you that for years!

Thanks for stopping by, today and always.  Your kind thoughts and comments always give me a smile!

I'm grateful for summer Fridays!

  9. I'm guessing that is something from Plum Street. The Memorial Sampler is beautiful, but can't help.
Wow! A Christmas melon. Who would have thought of a melon in Christmas since we tend to think of these fruits peaked in summer.
TFS the palm reading story. LOL. I love it.
