Stashing through the Challenge

Hey, Friends!
What in the world has taken hold of me?  I’ve been on a stash enhancing frenzy lately!  I commented to someone last night that I’m exhausted just watching all the starts the New 15 Challenge participants have done, and wonder if they have enabled me to try to keep up not starting stitching, mind you, just having!  On-line, in person, no matter… The Blackbird Designs that I never paid attention to… lovely samplers… beautiful linen… and New Year sales.  It has to stop for me but it’s so much fun.  What I really need to do is set up a For Sale page to sell those things that I know I’ll never stitch.  I feel sort of guilty saying that because one of the very generous ladies on the BBD yahoo group, Barb from England, just passed along to me an older BBD chart.  I am planning to have a Give Away sometime soon, sort of as a Pay it Forward, but more about that thought in the days to come since I haven’t made up my mind what it will be.
And speaking of the Blackbird Designs Yahoo group, I have now finished the Winter SAL, Winter Wonderland.  Yeah!  It was so much fun to stitch and I love how it looks (minus the wrinkles).  Now to get it finished into something… So far the plan is for framing.  What do you think?
Hope you’re all having a fine bright and beautiful weekend, and  thanks for coming by today.  I look forward to hearing your Needler’s Point and checking in to see what you’ve been up to lately!

Peace

and Happy Stitching

  3. Oh, Winter Wonderland is so lovely, Charlene... Congratulations on such a Beautiful finish! I think I am as much of a stash collector as I am a stitcher... the two tend to go hand in hand with me... And you know how that is... you see something and you just can't rest... and nothing else will do... and you have to have it right that moment! :)

    Blessings always in stitches...

  5. I totally agree with what you are saying!! Although I have been purchasing, I have a wish list sitting here by my stitch chair that I pencil ideas and dreamy buys I would love one day...Most are from these great starts that everyone has been doing these first 15 days of Jan! Sadly, I have put myself on somewhat of a stash diet this year so when I do get to buy, it will be alot!!

Love the BBD finish,..I have this chart and although I have not started it, I do want to one day....Yours is just beautiful!!

    Have a good week!! FAye

  7. I am not generally a BBD fan, but your finish is beautiful!! Congratulations.

I know what you mean about the enabling. I have taken to keep a notebook by all three of the computers that I use during the week, and I keep jotting down new things for my wishlist. I guess it will never end, and I guess that is okay!!

  11. Charlene, OH MY GOSH!!!!! I love it. I saw it over on the BBD stitchers blog and was oogling the picture. Now I am triple guessing going with the suggested fabric, because I love how yours turned out so much. I can't wait to see what you decide to do for a frame!

  18. Gorgeous finish! I know I feel the same about the Crazy Challenge. There are some patterns that I just want even though they'll just sit and sit until other stuff gets done! I think I need to do a giveaway too even if it's just to look through all my stuff and find the magazine I need for a pattern!
I enjoyed looking at your blog and seeing your work and your ORT ornaments.
I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt.
