Hey, Friends!

This year, Paulette from Plum Street Samplers, is designing a series of ornaments for Twelve Days of Christmas.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is over and we’re headed into December?  I’ve been absent from blogging for most of the year, so here’s most of what I’ve stitched this year.  If there’s anything else before the end of the year, I’ll just revise and add on.

The priority for my stitching this year has been my January 1 New Year’s start which is Beth Twist of Heartstring Samplery – His Eye is on the Sparrow.  My plan was to stitch one page (of 12) per month.  With my retirement in July (woo-hoo, yee-ha!) I was able to do a little more.  Then there was the framing special in October (Stitch and Frame Shop LNS), so pushing forward and stitching about every minute got it stitched.  I love the way it turned out.

I couldn't stitch His Eye is on the Sparrow ONLY, so every once in a while I'd take a break to have a completion along the way...

Finished  the end of November - Henrietta Goodrich by Barbara Ana Designs

October Paulette, Plum Street Samplers, gave us this Brew HaHa freebie! Then there was Merry One

In Novmember  Bird in Hand by Barbara Ana Designs

In September I found that there’s a Blackbird Design’s Facebook group for Anniversaries of the Heart, so I pulled it back out and stitched  Farm House.  AotH will be my focus project for 2016 – time to get it finished!

Then there was I can drive a stick by Lizzie*Kate

With all the Presidential Debates, PSS – Party Tarts caught my eye!

In August these Stranded Jacks from Paulette, PSS, had been in my “do soon” bag for more than a year!

When July came around, my Patriotic button got pushed, so His Eye went on a little hiatus.

In June I wanted to do a little painting project, and painted the boxes from Blackbird Designs, In Friendship’s Way, and in August made Strawberries and boxes for a few friends.

In May there was the Primitive Stitcher’s Society Retreat.  One of the projects there was a Necklace Needlebook, designed and taught by Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farms.

There was also a project by Kathy Barrick to learn Needle Punch.

At the retreat there was an exchange.  I made a Pocketwatch Pendant using With Thy Needle & Thread, Heart in Hand.

And so that's been my year of stitching.  I will update this post if I finish other pieces, and I do plan to finish the PSS Twelve Days.  Eight should be very soon!

Thank you for stopping by.  Look me up if you have FaceBook.

Happy Stitching!

  10. What a treat to see this post from you, Charlene, and see all your gorgeous finishes!! Can't begin to pick a favorited, but that wee Merry One is just darling. I managed to snag a copy before they ran out, but probably won't stitch it until next year.

Glad your retirement is so productive--enjoy the countdown to Christmas, Charlene :)
