Hey,
Friends!
You’d
think with the lovely trims I buy there would be lots and lots of finishing
going on over here, wouldn’t you? Not so
much… but there are these lovelies from Nancy at Victorian Motto! Aren’t the colors just yummy? She has so much going on - reasonably priced, quickest of service, and always something new!Remember those onion skin dyed eggs? They made yummy egg salad! DS is a great cook, but says he can’t make egg salad. So with these eggs and the purple and pink ones donated by Nan, he went home with a tub full. Here's my little dish.
Would
you believe I’ve procrastinated until today, but my taxes are filed! Why, you ask? Well there was this…
Oh, and Sarah Seifer came back from being framed. Isn't she lovely? My LNS, Stitch and Frame, always does such a beautiful job.
Mom's sister-in-law, her brother's wife, passed away this week. She's off work, so we're going to go out for lunch then shopping for a little while today. All the funeral arrangements have been set for tomorrow.
Thanks
for stopping by, today and always. Each of your
kind words are appreciated!
I'm grateful for a few days of true spring !

Love your finishes! And your Sarah Seifer -- so pretty! I love how you changed the color of the first words to blue. I started Sarah this week but didn't get far. I'm wondering if the fabric I picked is too light to show the flesh color well. :( What color fabric did you use??? Sorry to hear about your mother's SIL. Hope you and your mom have a nice time together today.
ReplyDeleteYour finishes are wonderful. I really like your color changes for Sarah Seifer! My condolences to your mom's brother. I hope that you have a great time with your mom today.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences for your loss. Lovely work on Sarah!
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on the loss of your mom's SIL.
ReplyDeleteI love all your finishes - each one is wonderful but oh my goodness, do I love Sarah. I really must stitch her one of these days! I love the frame you picked for her - it's a perfect size and the detail on it is lovely.
Oh....how tempting to go have a look aroung Victorian Motto! Love your finishes and your framed piece is so pretty.... you will have to show us where you hang it.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the loss in your family and hope you have a good week.
Sarah looks great. The frame is a very nice one. You do have lovely trims. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your family's loss.
ReplyDeleteThe stitching is wonderful. I love the framed piece. The sampler and tombstone are sweet too.
Oh, such a sad time for your mom and your whole family, Charlene...
ReplyDeleteI love your BOAF Santa--just bought all four myself on Ebay. They were just too cute to pass up :) You are very lucky to have such a nice framer nearby. I think that is why so many of my pieces sit unframed in the drawer--I just don't have a good framer!!
So sorry to hear of the loss in your family.
ReplyDeleteAll of your finishes are wonderful charlene. Sarah looks great in all her finery. :o) I love Nancy's trims too - fun just to look at them.
Great finishes, I can understand how you got distracted from your taxes. I'm quite good at being distracted by stitching, blogs, BB, basically anything other than what I should be doing, studying.
ReplyDeleteYour Sarah looks fantastic in her frame. Congrats on your new Victorian Motto trims and on your finishes.
ReplyDeleteYour LNS really does do a nice framing job! (And your work deserves it!) Did your egg salad taste as yummy as it looks? Very sorry to hear about your aunt. We only have 1 aunt left in our family; then we will be the older generation.....
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your aunt. :( I hope it's not too hard on your mom.
ReplyDeleteLove those trims, as you know! ;) Your LNS did a great job on framing Sarah! Very pretty.
The egg salad--YUMMM!
So sorry to read of your news. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
ReplyDeleteGreat trims and lovely stitches. That frame looks great with your piece!
