Hey, Friends!
Have you had a ‘fallish’ weekend with lots of rain, clouds,
but lower temperatures, too. High 60s to
low 70s feels like a typical early November here. It has felt great – and a great
stitching weekend! I’ve told you (and
showed you) before how much morning glories remind me of my ‘first days of
school,” and they’re blooming, too. The local schools' year begins this coming Wednesday.
I picked up the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue from my LNS the
other day. There are some really cute
designs – but just not ready for Halloween stitching yet. I put in my order for the Christmas edition. I didn’t get the Christmas preview edition. Am
I missing something great?
What AM I ready to stitch? I’ve been stitching Shepherd’s Bush, Eve’s
Garden, and it has been so long since I posted, it is finished - LL Maritime 36 ct! I did my own
conversion to Vikki Clayton’s Hand Dyed Fibers. I made a couple of other modifications – like
Adam’s leaf! I guess it was the ‘point’
of the leaf, but I HAD to round it off a little. I also left
off the suggested buttons, and changed to color of the verse to a deeper, more
red color. It does change the overall
look of the sampler, but I love it. Thank
you so much to Terri from Chocolates
for Breakfast for loaning me the chart.
I really loved stitching it. I do
agree with some of Terri’s comments about the symbols.
Thanks for stopping by and saying, Hey!
May 2013 be filled with Happy Stitching!
Peace♥Love♥Joy

Hey Charlene!! Cool here in Alabama too. Weird weather of 70 degrees when we are usually having 98 degrees and 105 with the heat index.
ReplyDeleteI love the SB Adam & Eve colors!!! Looks great!
Enjoy these cool temp for stitching!!!
Beautiful finish Charlene!! We had cool weather one day and I was in heaven!! Unfortunately, it didn't last. I can't wait for fall! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! I love your changes.
ReplyDeleteLove your finish... such a pretty design and your changes work too. Loving this weather too. Almost hate to say it out load but I can't believe how little "hot" summer we have actually had. Happy stitching on your next project....
ReplyDeleteEve's Garden looks great! Fallish here Saturday but warm again today. I don't think you are missing much with the preview issue. I hope the Christmas one is better. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful finish! I love it! I so want to get around to stitching this one. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish Charlene. It has been unseasonably cool in Indiana as well. Usually this time of year you can cut the air with a knife. Enjoy the cool weather while it lasts. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your finish! Glad you are having fall weather, unfortunately it is unusually hotter than normal here in Arizona in the 115s ugh! Can't wait to see you in a couple months
ReplyDeleteIt did feel like October or November this weekend! Crazy summer.
ReplyDeleteI love your finish and your conversion is very lovely.
Have a great week!
It's Terri the best???? I LOVE this with your conversions.... Especially the red verse!!! Perfectly done as usual~~~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! We have had some nicer less humid weather lately, but it's coming back this week. Hope you get some perfect stitching weather again soon. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish, Charlene! I sort of wish I had thought to change Adam's "leaf", but I'll not change it now (it's still not framed)! Your conversion is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the great finish Charlene! Yay! It always feels so good to get a big project completed! I look forward to seeing your final finished look! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Charlene! Do you have all your stitcheries framed under glass? Our weather is supposed to get cooler tomorrow. This has been a wonderful summer here in the PNW, the best since we've lived here.
ReplyDeletebeautiful stiching!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Charlene!! Love the colour conversion you made. HDF silks are great. Our weather cooled off then got hot suddenly. I guess summer hasn't quite left yet!
