Thanksgiving with Stitching

Hey, Friends!

Hope your Thanksgiving weekend has been filled with great fun, food, and stitching, of course!   I cooked dinner here at our house, and must say the entire meal tasted better to me than ever – the seasoning in everything was right – it was good.  There’s no evidence of it, since I didn't take a single photo.

BoaF Santa - Gold
Last weekend was International Hermit Stitch Weekend – and I did my share!  I finished  Threadwork Primitives Holly Sampler Pouch on WDW 35ct, Cocoa (love this color!).   This week in between cleaning and cooking, I finished BoaF, Gold Santa.  That completes the set:  Green Santa, Red Santa, and Black Santa.   Have I never shown you the Black Santa? I can’t find a photo of it here.

Woo Hoo!  I’m sure by now you’ve see the “Secret News?”   Isn’t it exciting?

No "Black Friday" shopping for me.  How about you?  Did you find some excellent bargains you couldn't resist?

Thanks for stopping by, today and always.  I appreciate your thoughts and comments!
I'm grateful  for  the week off!

  8. Pretty stitching, Charlene! I love the holly sampler. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Can't believe it's nearly December! Where'd 2012 go?

  9. Lots of great stitching there! Good going! I shopped at one store (KMart) near me (about 2 minutes away) and got 3 new airbeds for the family when they come to visit next. They don't make them like they used to! That's it! Oh, and groceries yesterday. But I have been sick again, so I just don't feel like it anyway! Thanksgiving was different--WE traveled! Yummy food and great company. Hugs!

  10. Definitely NOT a Black Friday shopper here, Charlene--I'm still recovering from the famished horde I fed on Thanksgiving :)

I just love those Santas--I have all four myself and hope to stitch them next year... You've certainly been very productive lately!! Enjoy a relaxing Sunday!!

  13. Hi there Charlene:)
So glad you had a tasty Thanksgiving:) I had a wonderful time with my DHs family. I got off easy this year as I was responsible for just one dish and setting the table. Ooooh glad my mother taught me early how to set a table and I also used the opportunity to teach my DD to do the same. Needless to say, I thought the table looked so pretty.
I love your Santas and I have those charts too and want to squeeze at least one of them in my rotation of stitching in 2013. Do you have a plan for finishing them as yet?
Thanks for posting about the "Secret News." I would have never know as I have not been on the blogger in a while.
I am not a Black Friday shopper, but this year I got tied and bound to go. We did not get out for the rush and headed out after the noon hour. The kids loved it, but I was hating life. LOL.
Alrighty, sorry I was a bit lengthy here. That's what happens when one is away:)
Looking forward to seeing your finish on Threadwork Primitives Pouch.
    Thanks for stopping by.
    Always, Jackie:)
