Thanksgiving with Stitching

Hey, Friends!

Hope your Thanksgiving weekend has been filled with great fun, food, and stitching, of course!   I cooked dinner here at our house, and must say the entire meal tasted better to me than ever – the seasoning in everything was right – it was good.  There’s no evidence of it, since I didn't take a single photo.

BoaF Santa - Gold
Last weekend was International Hermit Stitch Weekend – and I did my share!  I finished  Threadwork Primitives Holly Sampler Pouch on WDW 35ct, Cocoa (love this color!).   This week in between cleaning and cooking, I finished BoaF, Gold Santa.  That completes the set:  Green Santa, Red Santa, and Black Santa.   Have I never shown you the Black Santa? I can’t find a photo of it here.

Woo Hoo!  I’m sure by now you’ve see the “Secret News?”   Isn’t it exciting?

No "Black Friday" shopping for me.  How about you?  Did you find some excellent bargains you couldn't resist?

Thanks for stopping by, today and always.  I appreciate your thoughts and comments!
I'm grateful  for  the week off!

and Happy Stitching

  1. Love your Gold and Black Santas! I need to stitch all 4 as well someday. They are so cute! Love your Holly Sampler Pouch as well! No Black Friday shopping for me! And yes, I love the secret news!

  2. Love all your stitching, no Black Friday shopping for me.

So glad your meal went well, we have to wait until Christmas for our turkey.

  3. Beautiful work Charlene. We have a lot of leftovers here!! No black Friday shopping at all.

  4. Nice stitches!!! I LOVE Nan's newest....And, you have some turbo needles there...... The "news" is heavenly to hear....cannot wait to see the first design~~~ Carry on and stitch, Faye

  5. We plan to go to the movies every day and we started today. No shopping...oh, wait. I did get all those big boxes of candy 2 for 1 at the Rite Aid. LOL

  6. Great stitching... love the Santas. You certainly did have a productive weekend. No Black Friday shopping for me except groceries! Hope you have another great stitching weekend....

    happy stitching...

  7. Oh I do love those Santas! Just fabulous. I did no shopping today, no way, no how was I going out in that mess. Besides, I had to work. :o) Enjoy your weekend.

  8. Very nice stitching - well done.

  9. Pretty stitching, Charlene! I love the holly sampler. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Can't believe it's nearly December! Where'd 2012 go?

  10. Lots of great stitching there! Good going! I shopped at one store (KMart) near me (about 2 minutes away) and got 3 new airbeds for the family when they come to visit next. They don't make them like they used to! That's it! Oh, and groceries yesterday. But I have been sick again, so I just don't feel like it anyway! Thanksgiving was different--WE traveled! Yummy food and great company. Hugs!

  11. Definitely NOT a Black Friday shopper here, Charlene--I'm still recovering from the famished horde I fed on Thanksgiving :)

I just love those Santas--I have all four myself and hope to stitch them next year... You've certainly been very productive lately!! Enjoy a relaxing Sunday!!

  12. Great finishes, you sure stitched a lot during IHSW. I enjoyed checking out The Secret and look forward to seeing more.

  13. Lovely finishes! I love those santas and need to get going on mine. I have been transferring my webshots photos over to photobucket and seeing all my BOAF finishes up close again makes me miss them even more.

  14. Hi there Charlene:)
So glad you had a tasty Thanksgiving:) I had a wonderful time with my DHs family. I got off easy this year as I was responsible for just one dish and setting the table. Ooooh glad my mother taught me early how to set a table and I also used the opportunity to teach my DD to do the same. Needless to say, I thought the table looked so pretty.
I love your Santas and I have those charts too and want to squeeze at least one of them in my rotation of stitching in 2013. Do you have a plan for finishing them as yet?
Thanks for posting about the "Secret News." I would have never know as I have not been on the blogger in a while.
I am not a Black Friday shopper, but this year I got tied and bound to go. We did not get out for the rush and headed out after the noon hour. The kids loved it, but I was hating life. LOL.
Alrighty, sorry I was a bit lengthy here. That's what happens when one is away:)
Looking forward to seeing your finish on Threadwork Primitives Pouch.
    Thanks for stopping by.
    Always, Jackie:)
