Happy Mother's Day

Hey, Friends!
I hope your weekend is lovely, and that your Mother’s Day is perfect.
Thanks, Graphics Fairy!

I have to admit, I haven’t been so blown away by the most recent BBD Loose Feathers chart, Mary Ann Blackburn.  I did like the box cover piece, but the main, featured design wasn’t blowing me away… until I saw it stitched up by Joan at the Stitching Squad.  Have a look to see if you like it more, too?

Edited to say that a dear stitcher friend has offered the pattern to me.  Thank you!
One design that I do love is The Busy Needle by Little House Needleworks.  I looked to see if I could find any trace of it on Brenda’s blog, and this is what I found:
I have had email and phone calls on an old design I did for my LNS years back called "The Busy Needle".  It is not available for distribution.  If you own a copy, would you please pay it forward to those who wish to stitch it?  Making copies is not acceptable since the material is copyright protected.
Happy Stitching,

I believe it was one of the “Traveling Patterns” that went by, or was started by, It’s DaffyCat.  If you know who is stitching it now, would you point me in that direction so I can follow it?  Or contact me if you have one that you would consider loaning or swapping?

I’ve been stitching away on what was to be Mom’s Mother’s Day gift… Didn’t start soon enough, so it will have to be her birthday gift.  But before I started that, I did finish the second Birds of a Feather Santa
Red this time.  Next up but I am going to finish stitching that birthday gift first is the retreat project!

Thanks for stopping by, today and always.  I love to hear from you!

I'm grateful for Mom!
and Happy Stitching

  1. Your Santa is so cue, well done! I love Mary Ann by the way :-)

  2. Sorry, I meant to get back with you on this...I'm afraid the LHN design isn't my traveling pattern. It was started by Lynda of A Cozy Little Place for Stitching. She is organizing it's travels. If you contact Lynda she might add you to the list.

  3. The BoaF Santa is so cute
I hope you find that pattern
I love the BBD Mary too
Happy Mother's Day to you too

  4. Charlene, I do like the new BBD LF, Mary Ann Blackburn and also like the spring box too. Have you seen Mother's Garden? I like that one too. Can't help on the traveling pattern and I hope it will find you.
Now my nose is up to see what you were stitching for your Mom. Lovely finish on your Santa. I absolutely love the little doll he's holding. Very cute.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a Happy Mother's Day.
    Hugs darling:)

  5. Love your new Santa! I think the Mary Ann Blackburn is gorgeous! Hope you can find a copy of the Busy Needle. I like that one too.

  6. Happy Mothers Day my friend!!! Enjoy stitching those retreat pieces.... Big fun!

  7. What a cute red Santa, Charlene!

  8. Love the little red Santa! Hope you catch up with the traveling pattern.
Happy Mother's Day to you! :)

  9. I agree with you on the Mary Ann Blackburn sampler...doesn't move me at all. I love the Spring Box lid, though. That is what I'm working on now.

Isn't it funny how a couple people post a photo of a stitched piece on their blogs and suddenly everyone wants The Busy Needle? I guess that's what keeps LNSs in business. I am certainly guilty as charged!

    Your little Santa is cute.

    Have a great Mother's Day.

  10. hope you have a lovely mothers day :) I'm on the list to get the chart as it travels round from Lynda ... and can't wait to stitch it either ... love mouse xxxx

  13. Oh your Red Santa looks great! I hope you find that pattern. Happy Mother's Day!

  14. Are you going to make that cute little Santa into an ornie, Charlene? Looks like you've got lots of stitching plans in the works. Can't wait to see them. Happy Mom's Day to you also!

  15. It's funny how some pieces don't really appeal to you until you see them all stitched up, isn't it? Your little red santa is adorable, Charlene. I wish I could help you with the chart you're looking for--hopefully someone out there in blogland can help :) Wishing you a most happy Mother's Day!!

  16. Oh very beautiful Pixie !!
    bisous de FRANCE
