A friend from work loaned me a book, Conspiracy in Death by J. D. Robb (a pen name of Nora Roberts) that I've just finished reading. This is the first by either that I've read.
This is not the first in the series, 'in death' mysteries, but was enjoyable just the same. I will read others - possibly from the beginning to get the background.

Are you thinking reading is keeping me from stitching? Naaahh - that's not the case at all. It just seems I can't go to sleep unless I read a few pages to relax.
Hi Charlene,
ReplyDeleteAgreed, books are great, especially mysteries. I've read a few of Nora Robert's series and enjoyed them...they're kind of different from the usual mysteries...I've got one of JD Robbs on my stack. Have you read Monica Ferris, the cross stitch ones?
Oh, my gosh! I *so* envy you having all the Eve Dallas books in front of you! You must start at the beginning, girl, so you get the development of all the characters as it happens. Go, go, go! Run, don't walk to the library or used book store!
ReplyDeleteAnd all the Nora Roberts' books as well. I love the way she writes. I don't read just a few pages, I sit down at page one and stay up half the night until I finish. =)
My gosh, if I'd known you hadn't read these, I'd have told you ages ago!
Hi Charlene,
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Malaysia! I visited your blog from one of the Yahoo cross stitch groups that I joined.
I just wanted to say that the JD Robb "In Death" series is one of my all time favourite series! You definitely should start with the first book, so that you can get a good grasp of all the primary characters. I'm sure you would enjoy them, since you liked this one.
